I enjoy watching BGT as it is a varied programme of acts to suit all tastes. What is really, really irritating me is that the judges seem hugely pressured in voting the way the audience wishes which is directly allied to the noise they make. For example tonight (in my opinion) was a final three way contest between a charming young girl singer, a fantastic sounding Welsh male choir and an idiot who hopes to have a space on the Royal Variety stage with a quarter of a million in his back pocket. Astonishingly the idiot won through. This left the judges having to choose between the girl and the choir. I thought this would go true to their form when Bruno voted for the choir which clearly moved him. Alesha knew the girl was Amanda's golden buzzer and would get her vote and very quickly voted for the girl 'to even things up'.......... Amanda went with he girl and to my surprise Simon went with the eleven year old INSTEAD of doing what he normally does and making it a draw and forcing a public vote. Why, why, why cannot the entire vote be made fair and make the vote the answer.
I cannot watch anymore.

Paul, in my opinion, 2 basic factors missing in BGT are:
taste from the audience and integrity in the judging.

Everything in BGT is designed to make entertaining television.
Whether it succeeds or not is another question, but that is always the idea.

From saying there is ' absolutely no more Golden Buzzers' ,and then, surprise surprise, the confetti still rains down when it' pressed, to the relentlessly pointless gunning of Ant and Dec stageside, is designed to make people tube in.

When they stop watching in sufficient numbers, the show will vanish.

I am convinced that when the judges have to decide between the final 2 contestants, they have already decided between them how the vote will go. They should change the format and make it always go to the public vote. Cynical yes but that's how I see it.
