i think i have said numerous times that i think thatcher did an awful lot of harm to the uk... it is however undeniable that she possessed a formidable intellect and really believed in something even if that something was quite horrible. she was also a talented political strategist... she understood who she needed on-side and didn't care a jot about anyone who was not useful
