i don't understand what happened on monday night's without a trace on C4. was the old man him in the future? the woman who was shot his daughter? did any of it really happen and did he die in the end? so does this mean that his father really killed his mother or was he just being paranoid? any help would be appreciated

I agree it was totally confusing.I think that none of it really happened,and that it was Jack's dream,fuelled by strong sleeping tablets,and things going on in his general life.We'd been shown earlier on in the series,that he was having real problems sleeping.
