Coloured sounds very 1970s- guess you mean black. Maybe a gay couple as theres so many on the street now.

perhaps all the locals will boycott the bar until they reinstate Jenny and co .i love the character Jodie Prenger plays x

Coloured couple!!?? Do you mean someone red, blue or purple!! And so what if it is a 'Coloured Couple'??

Very disappointed that the locals didn't protest/demonstrate/riot against this change to the Rovers.

Does anyone remember a previous landlord/lady barricading themselves in the Rovers as a protest against, I think, a takeover?

Trans is the latest fad.

Corrie did that very successfully years ago

There'll be a cartel of people in the street wanting to buy the Rovers , people like Carla,Kevin and Adam

I should have said together

Wasn't that Jack and Vera Duckworth?  I seem to recall people scaling ladders to take them food through the bedroom window.

What's happening to the Rovers now, I've not watched it for about 10 years when it started to go downhill rapidly.

You're right, it was Jack and Vera.

The current landlady, Jenny, was struggling to make ends meet and sold the pub to the brewery, assured by the rep that she and the staff would be kept on.

This week the brewery closed the pub and terminated the contracts.

The Rovers is to be given a makeover to fit in with the brewery's current format.

The brewery (Newton and Ridley) bought the Rovers from Jenny but then they were taken over, and it is this new owner Waterfords who have sacked everyone and sent the builders in.

Thanks for the correction, brainiac.

Anyone notice that Paul can use his bad arm to propel his wheelchair?

Ha yes had noticed that about the wheelchair - otherwise he'd just be going round in circles.  Couldn't they afford a motorised one?!

No, although I've no idea why not.  He'd get benefits and archdeacons earn at least £40k a year.  They can't be paying a lot in rent
