Part of the persona of a Chaser is the announced belief that you are better than the contestants - it's all part of the showbiz image they portray.

Mr Labatt is clearly very very good at what he does, but not infallible, and the odd times i have seen him lose, he appears to accept it with good grace, tinged with the anger of a very competative person, which by definition, all Chasers must be to have got where they are.

It's no just the ability to store and retrieve such vast amounts of knowledge, it's the speed of the recall that makes them so exceptional.

I usually know what they know, but they have answered four more questions in the time it would take me to say one response out loud.

The chasers are playing a role. ML's is to be arriogant and slightly angry when he's beaten. It seems to have worked on smurfchops.

I doubt anyone would pretend to be as big a DH as Marky boy or Mr Wallace.

They both seem to be missing something when seen 'out of character'.

I remember Darragh being interviewed somewhere after he joined The Chase, he mentioned everyone by name and said how nice they were....   but he didn't mention The Beast.  Wonder why?
