Well given our local charges 9 quid for a glass of bog standard unpleasant  wine and 6 quid for a pint of bitter, they might as well be a non alcohol pub.

there was a bit in one of the BBC news reports of a couple running a no-alcohol bar. They were serving "cocktails" at 8 quid a pop!

yeah they call them mocktails apparently, well they are certainly mocking their punters.

I just don't see who'll go there, I mean non drinkers just don't have it in their lives to visit pubs genarally. There'll be some but not enough to sustain a pub. Gawd even the normal pubs are going down the kasi at about 25 a week.

I know when I did 3 weeks of dry January I never went anywhere near a battle cruiser.

Can't remember the last time I was in a pub but it was probably for a bar lunch.  I do enjoy the atmosphere, but don't feel the need to drink alcohol (usually driving).  Mocktails are quite expensive so can't see many people drinking these all night.  Good luck to the guy anyway, he maybe will find a market for his ideas.
