A cricket ball can weigh up to 5.75 ounces.

There is no specified weight but saying that, "World Snooker uses Tournament Champion snooker balls from Saluc for all its professional events." and they weigh "142g +/- 2 g" which is five ounce or a wee bit above or below.

I have never been interested in sport so would have said said snooker as it's the only sport I knew that has a red ball. That's only because snooker clubs used to serve alcohol in the afternoons when the pubs were shut
