"When You Are Old"
WHEN you are old and grey and full of sleep,
And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
And slowly read, and dream of the soft look
Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;
How many loved your moments of glad grace,
And loved your beauty with love false or true,
But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,
And loved the sorrows of your changing face;
And bending down beside the glowing bars,
Murmur, a little sadly, how Love fled
And paced upon the mountains overhead
And hid his face amid a crowd of stars.
~W.B. Yeats

Who's that man in the mirror?
I've been wondering about that.
Because I am young and slender
But he is old and fat.
Who's that man in the mirror
And is here to stay?
My hair is thick and shiny black
But his is thin and grey.
Who's that man in the mirror?
Am I behind the times?
My face is smooth and lovely
But his is full of lines.
Who's that man in the mirror?
I'm worried about him.
As I am always cheerful
But he looks really grim.
“Who's that man in the mirror?”,
I really want to bellow.
My teeth are clean and pearly white
But his are stained and yellow.
Who's that man in the mirror?
He's a stranger in my house.
You see, I'm a roaring lion
But he's a timid mouse.
Who's that man in the mirror?
He's such an ugly sight.
I know the laws of optics
But this simply can't be right.
Who's that man in the mirror,
With countenance so black?
If I don't get an answer soon,
That mirror's going back!
