The Brexiteers argue that Brexit was a necessary step for Sovereignty and regaining control over borders. But sadly Britain didn't gain control over It's Borders. But they did get the crown stamp back.   On the other side of the coin.Brexit critics say the Country faces rising costs, trade barriers ,and weakened international standing, with businesses struggling due to additional paperwork and lost access to EU markets .Economic growth has slowed, and many industries such as finance have seen job losses and relocation to Europe. Also immigration has surged under the previous Tory Govt who called for the Referendum.   Was it worth it.....NO!..

It's beginning to look like Starmers plan seems to be working.  Just promise to rejoin the EU if re/elected and there you go then. That's Labour home and dry with another huge majority for another term in Govt...Whoo hoo.

alleluia!

Considering that Starmer breaks all his election promises it sounds like volting for him would keep us out of the EU if he pomises to take us back in.

^There's a BA for you, gulliver.  🤣

Just to confirm that "volting" in my previous post was a typo (should have been "voting") but I'm beginning to think that a few volts through Starmer might not be a bad thing.

For those wanting a link here it is. Credit where it's due: gulliver has gone the extra mile by retyping it all, largely  correctly, rather than the lazy option of using copy and paste or adding a link.

"rather than the lazy option of using copy and paste or adding a link." - no one is that thick surely!

Perhaps gulliver gave no indication of his source because his headline is misleading.  The report in the link relates to the views of the Independent and some of its readers.

Instead of stressing fading support for Brexit would it not be more sensible to examine how much support there is for "Rejoin"?

Naomi: "Perhaps gulliver gave no indication of his source because his headline is misleading." - err gulliver has never given a source ever. He does not no how to and does not have the ability to learn.

Davebro 14.01 latest figures 57% of Brits want to rejoin .

"...latest figures 57% of Brits want to rejoin "

What "figures" are they, then?.

57% of Brits want to rejoin the EU. Is that  (1) 57% of the persons polled, or  (2) 57% of the voting public.  If it's (1) how many persons took part in this poll? Polls are very inaccurate in determining an outcome, and most polls come with a rider saying that the result could fluctuate up to a 10% error either way.

And if it's (2) how would they know? Nobody has ever asked me or Mrs NJ and we are both members of the voting public.

Gramps @16.24.and NJ @ 14.23. I will take that then Gramps, and NJ that you are both  old sweats in the Loyal Regiment of British Brexiteers.

Gulliver Take it what way you like, you have your opinion of me just as I have an opinion of you. There is one difference, I try to answer questions when they are asked.

it's just the e.u being childish and adding more redtape to an already overloaded system of paperwork, they only do it because they can.and use it as a punishment for leaving the unelected cartel

I wonder if the EU has managed to sign off on its finances yet🙄
