I've just finished watching the Luther Vandross documentary, he was my music hero, loved him to bits, saw him live half a dozen times, and if I had a gun to my head it would have to be Never Too Much.

No need for a gun to my head. The Whole of the Moon by The Waterboys is my all time favourite song. Others do come a very close second, though and I wouldn't be able to choose between them.

Bat out of Hell, full version, the intro is longer than most of the songs that preceeded it. Written by the legendary Jim Steinman and sang by the big man himself, the only guy that can sing that song. It both cheers me then breaks my heart when I hear it on the radio when it is invariably the butchered short version.

Mr bright side by the killers

Bohemian Rhapsody

Luther who?

Vandross. A hugely popular singer back in the 80s.  He was great and an excellent 'live' singer. Though I preferred Freddie Jackson myself.

He started out as a backing singer for the likes of Aretha, Chic, Sister Sledge, Roberta Flack, and on Bowie's Young Americans and then was the lead vocalist on The Glow of Love and Searching by Change.

Incidentally, I went to see Change just before  Xmas at Fairfield Halls in Croydon - they were awesome.

Canary, was that tongue in cheek?? 😄

Impossible to choose just one. Why ask?

Well in Canary 🤣 Bo Rhap doesn't even make my top ten Queen songs everytime I try to whittle them down... so gawd  help me trying to choose a favourite of all time. 🤔

4.32 - why not ask?

Bednobs, I love Mr. Brightside, too, but I'm not sure which of my favourite songs I'd choose. If I had a gun against my head, I'd probably shout the first one I thought of!

I would have to pull the trigger.

depends on the weather, day, mood -

at the moment, it's this.

Gary Moore - Still Got The Blues.

Yes: Roundabout.

Parisienne walkways would be up there for me too...in my top 10. My number 1 depends on my mood...either ELO- One Summer Dream or Living Thing, or Elvis If I could Dream. Last week it was The Tams version of I've Been Hurt. Or was it The Smiths- There's a Light..

I'm still trying g to finalise my funeral track list. Maybe funeral tune should be a new thread..
