Is The Public Expecting Too Much...

I had a visit about 10 days ago from representatives of both BT and ee. It was about the broadband/high fibre upgrade occurring in my area. While discussing it I also asked about switching to ee as I've been paying way too much with Virgin who I've been with for ages. Happy with quote I was given a date of 26/3 for an engineer to come. I've also had an email from building management describing the installation outside. Plus there have been several text messages from BT along the lines of updates saying they are working on my upgrade. I've also received a link to track RM delivery of my new router.
But yesterday I received a text claiming that they need to do some more work and need some information. There's a phone number to call and a message that states if I do not want to continue with the work, to call them within 15 days. Even though my change over is just a week away? It just seemed odd to me.
Any insight on this message? I'm emailing building management also.

But nothing about not wanting to continue with the work. I got a text detailing what they were gonna do outside my property and if I was not the owner they needed permission from the owner. The router came via Royal Mail a week before. It was all good. The coverage I am getting is amazing. Right out to the back of my garden!!!!!
DDIL...interestingly, I've gotten several missed calls that were listed on whocalledme as scams. I've just googled the number in my question and it came up as a billing scam.
Sharon, thanks for the positive information. The email from management included detailed photos of what would be done to the exterior walls. I will just wait for my new router 👍
I've emailed management so I expect them to confirm it's a scam.
