I've only stumbled across it a few time but I think it only works because they tend to come along, knock the entire house down and build a new one! Not really a 'makeover' more of a 'start again'! So, in that respect I think that does somewhat limit the places it could be successful - do you think that's why they only choose flimsy wooden houses to start with rather than brick built ones for the show?!
ive never watched a full show myself, but my auntie & cousin are absolutely addicted to it - i dont think they ever miss one :s so yes, i guess they do find it brilliant
So what if they dont really makeover a house but start again the show is brilliant and at the end of it all a persons life has been totally transformed.
The show about the girl that had an allergic reaction to sunlight was amazing.
I like it too, but I think it isn't all as 'off the cuff' as they make it out to be. I think they do some serious planning beforehands so things can run as smoothly as they do. Still good though!
Absolutely love it. Its totally insane but they do some wonderful things to give real genuinely caring people and people that need a new start in life, that chance to start again.
I agree that the little girl who was allergic to sunlight was a fantastic one - also the little boy that has brittle bones and they put everything in that was cushioned, the floor, the walls, even the bath! so that he was at so much less risk of hurting himself.
Oh my god yes! i love it! i cry all the time. some of the stories are so sad, they totally need there houses and lives made over. I don't normally like americans because they are ott, but ty and the guys are great! very ott but i love them!
I watched it on saturday through desperation as there was nothing on and I couldnt go out. I actually thought it was ok but that Ty bloke needs to be shot. how annoying is he! oh, it also gets a bit tedious when they show the same programme 3 times over 2 channels one after the other.
I think it's a good show, and they do some great things for those who really need it. However I do get really sick of the 'Oh no are we going to be done in time?!?' that happens in EVERY show. And they ALWAYS get done in time, so they never fool me that they might not.
