I was watching Smallville, and someone is going to die. I know his dad dies in the original Superman. But can anyone else tell me. What was Lana Langs part int the orginial superman.

In Superman, the part of Lana lang was played by Diane Sherry.

I never noticed Lana Lang in the original Superman. What did she do?

Lana wasn't a major character in the original Superman - I think she was just a colleague at the Daily Planet.

Smallville's current Mrs Kent (Annette O'Toole) also played Lana Lang in Superman III.

In the oroginal Superman films number 2 I think. Lana Lang was the girl at the class reunion she has a small boy, but not a husband. I can't remember why.

Err Guys, Superman/Superboy began as a comic book way before the films. Lana Lang featured in Clark Kent's early life - as she does in Smallville - and Lois in his later life as Superman, NOT as she does in Smallville. In the films, Lana only appears in Superman 3 as a grown up Lana Lang (Played if you don't know by his mum in Smallville)

As much as I like it, they do seem to be playing around with the history of Superman as I know it.

Lana Lang was a cheerleader in the original Superman who Clark Kent had a crush on but as far as i know nothing happened between them she appears in the the beginning of the 1st Superman when it shows his life before he goes off to Metropolis
