For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.As a Beatles fan myself, I would say it's simply because as they are the most famous band of all time they have always been very popular, and still sell like hot cakes. For that reason there is no need for the record stores to lower their prices. That is only an educated guess though, if someone knows better please correct me.
Absolutely correct - any store will only reduce the price of anything if it won;t sell at the top price - not a problem The Beatles have aver had.
Plus, thanks to the clver marketing strategy of Neil Aspinall who ran Apple, and still oversees the cataloge, no Beatles songs are ever released for compilations, 'greatest hits' or similar, and the ones not owned by MJ are never used in advertising either - a beacon of musical purity in a prostituted advertising-dollar world.
Having said that, I have a bit of good news for you. WWW.Play.Com has a Beatle offer at the moment. Two Albums for 15.99. Good Luck!
