Holiday Showdown - Bristol Family
I saw the first half of this programme - did anyone else feel slightly weird like they were watching somebody have some sort of break down on national tv? When she started talking about what her brother used to say to her, then break down crying every five minutes before telling all and sundry abpout the relationship with her mother, and the fact that she always felt that she was going to travel (for anyone who didn't see it she was talking about a bus trip 20 miles down the road to Weston Super Mare). I felt I had to turn over. I didn't, obviously. I just felt the woman had serious issues and perhaps that it oughtn't to have been broadcast. Please fill me in on the second half when they went to Thailand - did she seem to feel better? Ta x

The Bristol lady did seem to have a number of unresolved issues, which were exacerbated by her girls clearly bonding with the other family, and loving the experience of travel.
However, the 'showdown' saw her thanking the other family for providing her girls with a chance to see another country, and although she feels she will not travel aborad, she is happy that her children will, so it all ended on a very optimistic note.
