I am convinced that the street set for Desparate housewives, is the same street set used in "The Burbs" and in"Deep impact" Anyone shed any light? I found a web site for movie locations but you have to pay to get on it... what a jip.

both desperate housewives and the burbs were filmed at universal studio's, universal city, california, so u may well be right that its a studio set. is the nothing on fan-sites?

yeah went there while on holiday, deep impact was def filmed there as tour guide mentioned it and i'm with you on the 'burbs thing too... great film v. underrated!!
Yep, it certainly is...Was in the Radio Times a couple of weeks ago. Also one of the houses (The new family I think) is the same one that was used in the The Munsters.
Outdoor "sets" are known as a "Back-lot" or "Lot", as is built on space usually behind the studio.
