Is it true that Charlotte Church was discovered by Richard and Judy when she sang down the phone to them on their show?

No. Many years ago, Jonothan Ross hosted a talent show on the BBC. It followed the format of the original Opportunity Knocks with Hughie Green, where the acts where introduced by friends and family members. Charlotte introduced her aunt, but sang a bit herself during the chat, and it went from there.

it is true. i have seen the episode and she did indeed sing down the phone to them. she could have also been on the jonathan ross thing, but it was the phone audition that apparently launched her.
