he's back doing the pubs and clubs now i think as he disagreed with his management, who wanted to make him do cover versions but he, as they all do, wanted to do his own stuff! silly billy

I'd love to hear Andy's version of the final song again... I thought he sang it really well... or maybe they could give him another one.. oh and yeah steve was a fool to think he knew best... ah well (I wasted my pound voting on him as well)!

His album didnt do too well at all as with all british talent shows aside from hear'say theres did suprisingly good. See the major success story with talent shows has to be Kelly Clarkson American idol - shes storming the charts and has been for months now. I guess he gave up, havent heard anything for a looooonnng time. Try and see if theres a website.

The in-built shelf-life of 'reality stars' claimed SB earlier than some.

If an artist is in people's living rooms for weeks on end, they develop a 'relationship' with the public. The surprise at the end would be if their first single was not a massive hit - but after that, you stand or fall by a number of other factors.

Kelly Clarkson has succeeded because she can sing, she has fantastic songs, she has a great image, she is managed by shrewd people who know what they are doing.

Steve Brooksteen always looked like a slightly seedy and unwholesome karaoke singer - his voice was not that good, and his one hit was a song so strong Davina McCall could have had a hit with it.

Take away the safety net, watch 'em fall.
