In the 70s I remember watching a scary play on TV that frightened me to death. It was about a couple who were moving out of their home but they had to stay overnight in the empty house. In the night the rooms became furnished with old fashioned furniture and there was an old lady involved somewhere along the line. Think she was drowned in a bath. It was one of those horror stories where no one believes what someone is telling them. This prob sounds really vague but I hope someone recognises it.

never mind ,sunflower68, thanks anyway. Dont think it was Hammer House of Horror - almost positive it was a telly play tho I could be wrong. Dead frustrating !
There used to be a lot of scary plays in the late sixties and seventies, I know because I got really scared by one too, they were a series called mystery and imagination, I hope this helps.
