Who else gets exasperated at the the way a story is introduced in The Bill as a main theme and then just ignored. A few weeks ago we had a missing child and then this week NOTHING about her. It is bad enough when we lose all sense of urgency because of it having to go over a few weeks episodes (and I think they had to miss one for the football) but then they do not even mention it this week.

It could be that because of the tragedy concerning Joe Geeling it may have been decided that to carry on with the above storyline was seen as insensitive.
The whole program is a tragedy, when it first started it was self contained Cop stories now they've turned it into a naffing soap.
I used to love watching The Bill when it first started. There was one hour long programme each week. Not it's totally ruined.
I think it is still good. In real life when a child goes missing, life still goes on, people still get burgled, shoot in clubs or what ever. Often when in real life a child is missing it can be several weeks before the child is found. The Bill reflects this.

the bill makes me angry!!!!

at the beggining of a show a car will be pulled over for having no tax and by the end of the show the driver was the mass murderer they have been after!!!!

obviously i have made that storyline up but you get the jist dont ya!!

Rugeleyboy, if you're old enough you'll recall that Peter Sutcliffe, the Yorkshire Ripper, was apprehended in a similarly random fashion as your "made-up" storyline.
thats probably where i got it from.
