i visit film and tv ,then food and drink,then adverts ,i only very occasionally visit the others

Music is mine. I only visit Adverts, B&S, Film & TV, HIW, I&T, Music, News regularly although I have been known to stray into Motoring or M&F sometimes. I guess I have my routine and stick to it! Sometimes looking in B&S first thing in the morning when I'm having brekkie can be a mistake.....

I avoid How it Works, Parenting and Science. Body & Soul and Adverts I stay away from, everywhere else I float about and read/contribute to occasionally. My all time favourite was Chatterbank of course, but alas it is no more, it has gone to that great chatterbank in the sky, gone but not forgotten, sadly missed and the subject of continued speculation and debate. A great loss to many but an aberration to a few. The once home of many an avid ABer but now they drift astray amidst the cyber waters of a distant cyber shore, we are not to know it's like again, it is gone, fading into a distant haze of echoing laughter, jollity and ridiculousness. (I miss it)

HellyFlump - turn down the pop-up prevention settings on your anti-virus program a notch. It sees the word 'Adverts' and blocks it.

My favourite section is Music. I also frequent Film & TV, Adverts, and People and Places. I've cut down a little on visits to Sport, due to having to wade through the same childish nonsense (oh sorry, "humour") of certian posters over and over again. I sometimes go into A&N, I&T and News, although news is getting a little too Daily Mail - "bring back hanging for illegal parking offences and National Service for anyone younger than me" - for my liking.

Some sections the people have no sense of himour, and can be very argumentative. Some sections can be a bit pretentious.

My first port of call is always sport, followed by music, film and TV, arts and literature, people and places and quizzes and puzzles. I very rarely visit any of the others. Like se7en says, the banter on Sports is always good for a laugh, I'm afraid sections like Body and Soul are a little dull for my liking.

Definitely Sport first, for the reasons se7en and Robbo gave. Then maybe News, Film and TV, Music and Ads. Sometimes check Parenting or People, but that's abttu it.

You're welcome, HF :-) It's a bit of a palaver though - I see someone in AB Suggestions (oh yeah, I go there too sometimes) has suggested renaming the category as this would solve the problem for everyone. Maybe it could become Commercials?

I am with you Glenis regarding the top 3 plus I do like to browse the Music section. I must admit I do like Food and Drink and now tend to go there first to find some brilliant recipes.

mine is F&T, A&L, ab suggs, P&P, P&S, news, J&C, I&T, HIW, H&G, H&M, F&D, B&S, then if i've got time i'll go to music & J&C

occasionally i'll go to science, shopping, travel & ads

but never go to sport, parenting, motoring and the blog

Favourites are music,sport, film and tv, money and finance and history and myths...agree with the above statement about news, some excellent posters on both sides of the political divide there, but seem to be far outweighed these days by the populists whose extreme and simplistic views on everything from race, crime, politics and religion would make even bernard manning blush...

I always read the topics in the same order joko. I start at Music and work up the list, visiting each with the exception of Adverts (I can't get in it!). Then I go to Shopping, Science, Phrases & Sayings and People & Places. I very rarely visit Quzzes & Puzzles, News, Parenting, Sport or Travel.

Cheekychops I had the ame problem - couldn't get into adverts. It will be your Firewall. If you use Norton, which I did - then you must insert this website as one ou want and ther adverts pop up like magic. My favourite is film and tv and to be honest I have only surfed through the others. i love music so might give that more of a go from now on

I visit most of the topics, and contribute to whichever questions I find genuinely interesting and absorbing, with the exception of Sport, Shopping, Quizzes and Puzzles, and Parenting, as none of these have any interest or relevance to me. My favourites and most-visited are definitely Animals & Nature, Arts & Literature, Music and Body & Soul, in that order.
