I heard he's changing from weekdays to saturday and the ginger winger is taking over his slot I thinkit's time to get the CD's going at 5pm

i agree ill miss johnny been listening for years but mark radcliff would be a good replacement
Hi India, Johnny Walker will be taking Ed Stewart's slot on Sundays between 5pm & 7pm . Although I like Johnny I shall really miss Ed.
can't believe they gave Chris Evans his slot! I so wanted Stuart Maconi to get the job full time, as I love it when he stands in for Johnnie. Not sure Chris is quite my cup of tea when I'm at home making dinner and playing with my wee boy. Will miss Johnnie, bit of a legend and I'll miss his musical tastes - Chris isn't likely to have a similar playlist.
Johnny Walker is the tops and I am really going to miss his dulcet tones on the drive home! If the naff ginger fella is taking over, then its the local independent radio for me, or CD's! It was great when Evans went into hibernation for a few years - why did he have to come back?

maybe we should get a petition going on AB to stop ginger winger from getting the 5pm slot

when johnnie walker has to go he's going to be sorely missed

Apparently there have been assive protests about Chris Evans taking over, but the Controller of Radio Two is a big Evans fan, and the protests will not change her mind. There was even talk of the Radio two message boards being censored to play down the amount of the protest.

I think Chris Evans is in the right place on Saturday afternoon, it's not a style that will fit the Drivetime slot.

I don't really like Johnnie Walker, I find him rather humourless, and disinterested in the conversation with his guests, but he will slot in nicely on Sunday afternoon.

The obvious heir-apparent is Stewart Maconie who maintained the listening audience throughout JW's prolonged absence, but Mr Evans is flavour-of-the0-month, so we'll seed how he gets on.

The BBC really should beware of seeing someone through rose-coloured glasses and imagining them in a position other than the one for which they are famous - Davina McCall anyone?

I agree with Andy...Should have been Stuart Maconie. He is witty and has the banter with Sally Traffic too
although stewart maconie is good I thought richard allison would have got the job as he's good with the people he interviews and has a good patter
