but if you mean Phillip Glenister, Gene Hunt) he has also been in loads. i first saw him in the excellent clocking off. He became one of my favourite actors after seeing him in that. He has also been in 'the stepfather,'' the walk' and 'calender girls.' to name but a few. His brother is Robert Glenister who plays Ash in hustle.
