I have half a dozen video films (which I have taped myself) which are on about 6 different tapes at present and I would like to put them all on a couple of tapes. I have two videos - is it just a case of connecting up a scart lead from one video recorder to the other and recording them on a new tape? Sorry to be so thick, but have never done it before and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes its that simple. But you might have more then one scart socket on your video and you'll have to put it to record from AV
I've done this a few times, and it is quite easy. Incase you weren't aware, make sure your main video player is on the AV channel though. Also, do a test for about 30 seconds (then hit stop and check to see if it taped ok)before you walk off for 2 hours and find it hasnt recorded properly or something.
