The soundtrack to badlands was never released but there are couple of ways of getting hold of the music.
The soundtrack to True Romance had 'homages' to the music by Hans Zimmer which are very similiar and if i'm not mistaken this was the actual version in the VW ad.
The other way is to go straight to the source.
The music was by Carl Orff and the main tracks are Gassenhauer and Musica Poetica and i think you can get these two tracks on his albums - although they are quite hard to get hold of.
My advice would be to get the True romance soundtrack or try and track down the Carl Orff album.
Great music by the way and good luck for the wedding (although the storyline to the film doesnt bode well if you base your relationship on Martin and Sissey's!)
Just done a bit of research and forget the Carl Orff option!
It was only released as part of a 6 cd box set!
Try down loading it (i did from Limewire) or like i said go for the True Romance option (which is a bit more apt considering the event).
If you really struggle i could stick them all on cd for you - i think you are allowed to post email addresses nowadays.

You can get the Carl Orff music from the film on a CD called "The Best of Carl Orff", which is available on the net from a well-known internet music and book seller.

The music which is called Musica POetica in the film is called Schulwerk on the CD.

The CD also includes Carmina Burana, which has been used in loads of adverts, including Old Spice.

Ah - it gets better!
Nice one Mr Egg!

Thank you both for your help, it was much appreciated! I have tried limewire and my work pc does not support 'personal' downloads. I will go into HMV this weekend and check the cds out. Once again, thank you both for helping a damsel in distress!
