Modern day Bedlam
3 Answers
i dont like reality shows but last night i was flicking and saw about 15 mins of Strictly Dance Fever (?) with Graham Norton. i could not drag my eyes off the dancers and felt as if i were intruding on something that should be private, not broadcast to the nation. So many of the dancers had personality problems, one or two looked totally mad and were beyond merely eccentric. They were living in a world where they thought they could dance well enough to appear on TV!! It was cringe making. We were invited to laugh at these poor people and i am ashamed to say i did.

As lynbrown says, it is indeed a modern Bedlam, and the BBC, public service broadcaster funded by licence fee payers should be thoroughly ashamed of itself. What ahppened to the notion that they were moving away from 'competing' with ITV and chasing ratings? What other escuse is there for this freak show?
