I think it was Michelle Dotrice, who played Frank Spencers wife in Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em. She was/is married to Edward Woodward, I think!

No that was the week before. This was a younger, dark haired woman who had been having an affair with the Scottish heart surgeon

It was Francis Barber I think
