Saw it on Sunday night, me and my boyfriend are still trying to get our heads round it! His idea is that they died as soon as the car crashed, i just dont know...!? I'm a fan of horror films and this one was very good although i was very jumpy driving home which is unusual!

Only found out yesterday it was based on a game! would love to know how you could play something like that?
I didn't know it was a game until last week - my husband used to play them when he was younger and said they used to really freak him and his mates out. I am going to see it on Thursday though so can't say if I have been scared or not but I am glad you did because I thought the trailers looked crud (a bit like the Ring, the Exorcism of Emily Rose or the Grudge when they show all the scary bits!!)
I'm not sure if i want to see this film, I was a huge fan of the games, but i was also a resident evil zealot, but was only left dissapointed by the resident evil films. I'm hoping it's not as bad as the RE films was so i think i'll wait for the dvd.

i wont see this film cos i hate horror movies, i am a wimp when it comes to things like that!! monsters inc freaks me out!!

i was just wondering what it was about and what the games are that you refer to?

thanks

caz21, I agree with your bf...I thought they died then too.

bellasasha: you probably wouldn't like it if you don't like scary movies...it freaked me out, and I've watched a lot of horror flicks!!

I used to play the games on Playstation. The first was a Playstation One game so it's quite old now. It was genuinely very scary - one of the scariest, most atmospheric games I've played. Normally movie versions of games are awful but I still want to see this one.
They aren't dead - the whole premise of the game is that it's an alternative conciousness, hence them able to be in the same place as other characters but in different 'dimensions'. The game was scarier than the film, but it had some really good visuals - very hellraiser
The most compelling evidence in the film that the 'foggy Silent Hill' is *not* some kind of afterlife is the fact that Sharon was sent out of that world to the world as we know it, where she was adopted.
