TV media politically biased.
I was just thinking the other day how all the satirical and topical comedies on TV are left liberal. I can't think of one in recent years that could be even classed as 'centre right' let alone right wing. And even if there was one, it would be in very tiny minority compared to the dozen and more that aren't.
Why is this?
Is it the BBC and C4 pushing their political and social agenda on to us through the programmes that they transmit? The TV media hierarchy wishing to indocrinate us with their views and ideology. Is Orwell's nightmare looming towards us?
Or is there a simple less sinister explanation?

The usual procedure is that you think up an idea, put some sketches together, try to sell it to a production house; the channels can only show what they're offered. If nobody offers them Tory humour, they can't broadcast it.
But it might be argued that situation comedies (for instance) in general are conservative, with a small C: they rely for their success on enduring values, and try to appeal across the generations - Dad's Army for example was never just aimed at people who were alive during the war.
I'm having difficulty imagining a credible 'right-wing' satire. Perhaps it is the nature of political satire that it implies a liberal (and not necessarily 'left-wing') perspective. I'm not 100% sure that the last sentence is correct so, genuine question: what would you like to see satirised with a non-liberal agenda?
Also, what programmes lead you to believe that we may be being indoctrinated with a specific ideology (such as would lead us to an Orwellian future)? Again, that's a genuine question. To me, a liberal perspective seems to be a good thing (that's not to say that any 'left-wing' organisation is, by any means, necessarily 'liberal').
The establisment is no longer conservative. Liberalism usurped it sometime ago. Alternative liberal comedians took the proverbial out of it. Now it has changed hands why shouldn't right leaning comedians do the same?
As for right leaning scripts not coming forward, if any did, do you think that the politically correct liberal media would allow them to be commissioned?
Also, "to me, a liberal perspective seems to be a good thing" is neither here nor there. There are different view besides liberalism. Not to allow liberalism to be satirised, is very similar to not allowing communism to be under the Soviet Union. If conservatism or socialism can be mocked, then why can't liberalism. Ironic when you think of it.
Anyone think of a show that does?
