I think all the critics might just be right in nominating Citizen Kane... every time I see this film there's something new to discover; although my own personal favourite is The Third Man. But "best of.." can go on for ever... West Side Story is probably the best musical ever made, though not my personal favourite; best comedy is possibly The Producers; best western (IMHO) probably either The Searchers or For a few dollars more.. etc. etc.....
