Having seen the 1940's film 'Dead Of Night' when I was about nine, the memory of Hugo Fitch, the dummy in the final short story has given me a morbid fear and dislike of dummies and puppets that lasts to this day. Has anyone else seen a film that has induced a long-standing reaction like this?

This will sound really stupid, and I can't remember the name of it, but I saw a film where people were pulled into the TV and ever since I get scared to turn the telly off at night. It gives my hubby a few laughs, watching me creep up to the TV and then run away afterwards.
yes poltergeist and now i have a fear of clowns because they are just not funny and all need to be locked away forever.
