david icke - any truth whatsoever??

Does anyone know if any of david icke's claims have any basis?

I know some are outlandish and sound utterly bonkers but has there been any sort back up or proof for his claims?

I am assuming there is some basic evidence for the things he claims and that he has taken wrongly and perhaps exaggerated or misconstrued the facts into these conspiracy theories - but often conspiracy theories are just truths that have got over blown by paranoia.

the greatest disguise and cover for any dodgy dealings, on any level, is to find a self elected scapegoat and convince the world its too ridiculous to be true - perfect really.

please no "he's mad", "he's nuts" etc - i am well aware of the general consensus

i would just like some facts, figures, corroboration, debunking etc etc

I think that David Icke's claims come into the category of belief.If you believe his claims then The proof is in his writing and his words.The people he claims are reptilian benefit more by ignoring his claims.They wouldn't admit it if they were and if they are not there's point.

Just because you can't prove something doesn't mean that it isn't true.Or false.

I think the way that he bases his outlandish claims on "V" and "The Matrix" are a clue...

his claims have been likened to v and the matrix by other people, not him, though he accepts they are similar.

its not like he thinks v was a documentary!

he has only said that "they are closer to reality than we realise"

he has not based his claims on the tv shows.

i am not supporting him, but twisting the truth for effect is lame

I had replied to this yesterday but my computer wouldn't let me send it. It's interesting to see what others have replied. Have you had a look at his website? He has some interesting "Alternative Headlines" which come from different sources around the world, and most of what he said ten years ago seems to be coming true now - ie microchipping individuals, weather control etc. There are 2 very good magazines you may be interested in, one is called Nexus and is published in UK, it tells you news that is not in the news - the media tell us waht they want us to hear, that way they can keep us afraid, thereby making it easier to control us - just look at the scare re bird flu (how much money does Rumsfield make out of this as he has shares in the pharmaceutical company that manufacture the "cure") and the petrol scare - if you read anything from eyewitnesses they will tell you there is plenty of oil - plus there is alternatives to petrol but they are not made public - no money for the government then, and god forbid that the people should think for themselves! The other magazine is Nexus, published in Australia. I think the films are an interesting point - it's as if we are being shown waht is going on but we can't see or want to believe it. Even Shakespeare said, there are more things in heaven and earth than are dreamt about in our reality (or words to that effect!) Happy hunting!

Hmmmm...

Which came first, "V" or Icke's "reptile" claims? "The Matrix" or Icke's "Children of the Matrix"? The man seems to absorb various bits of popular culture and/or conspiracy theory, mash them around in his mind, and churn them out as "the truth". Then, when he is debunked, he revises his story.

Next you guys will be claiming that Derek Acorah really does commune with the spirits!
