this is an honest question....what is so good about big brother and why is there such a fascination with it? i dont mean to be harsh to those who enjoy it but i cannot see one positive or good thing about it, im afraid. i dont want an argument, just a simple answer will do...thanks

Hi Dan, I aked this a few months ago, and got some good answers, I hop you do too, I pesonally, have never seen it, and have no wish to, I think its degrading to the extreme.

I agree with you that it is a load of cr@p. Why do people like it? One reason: Voyuerism. Not my thing, but I can understand why people watch it. I must admit I watched BB1 and BB2 but I was a bit younger then and just wanted to see what all the fuss was about. The one thing I cant understand is people who watch the live feed when the people in the house are sleeping.

If I go to a pub or cafe I like to sit in the window so I can just watch people go by. I suppose its the same thing.

but you dont see the same people walk past the window all the time...and most of the people you see arent the devils rejects with a combined IQ of 50...i just dont get it. the first BB was ok . i didnt see it but the winner gave all(or most of) his winnings to my friend who has a daughter with downs syndrome and the money went towards a life saving operation...that is the only good i can see that came out of BB...but any more on the entertainment side, i cant seem to find...

There was me raging on about it all being a load of crap, then I had to tune in last night to see how the Tourettes sufferer could play havoc with the censor..he's a great bloke!

Mind you, I only watched it for 5 minutes before I started to yawn. Someone wants to leave the house already ~ I ask you, why bother entering in the first place???

I am looking forward to Eurovision tonight..should be a bit of a laugh :o)

People just find it entertaining to watch. Mostly it's boring but sometimes it can be quite entertaining to watch.

I'm interested in people and how they think so I like to predict who will get on with who, who will hate who, who will vote for who and so on.

I thought Victor was one of the best housemates in the house, funny guy.

Different people like different things, it's simple. :)

hi dan, I posted a reply last week questioning what the fascination with BB is for those who TRULY HATE IT!!!!! I hear no end of comments from the non-watchers; I don't know why they don't just ignore the show.

In reply to your question, it is for me, as Goodsoulette says, like people-watching. Some people like this; many don't. I guess that is why we are all diffferent Dan. I know you didn't want an argument; nor do I , I totally respect the question but I can't stand the Simpsons/Mash/Desperate Housewives/FootballersWives/TheBill/Golf/Cricket etc etc for the reasons that make me, me. I was channel hopping once, and landed on big brother...watched some overweight female washing dishes for ten minutes....I asked myself "why am I watching this?", went to bed. nuff said.
