I was unexpectadly called away half way through Friday's last Green Wing. Can anybody fill me in how it ended. Also missed the repeat.Thanks

Dr Statham and Joanna are on the run in a stolen mobile home after mistakenly thinking the police are after them for killing Joanna's cousin (the midget)

Karen was accidently knocked out of the office window (and possibly killed) by naughty Rachel. Nobody miissed her.

Caroline was proposed to by Martin, Mac & Guy, she ended up accepting Guy's proposal after being stood up at the railway station by Mac.

Mac received bad news from his doctor, he has an incurable disease ( they did'nt say what it was ) and does not have long to live.

Jesus.. I typed a really long reply which led in detail as to what happened and theanswerbank deleted it so out of pure anger I won't post as much content and keep it brief (sorry)

Martin and Guy ask Caroline to marry them (not at the same time) and she says no to Martin but a maybe to Guy.

Mac hears about this and goes about asking Caroline the same thing but doesn't but she says he'll be a yes to which he plays a cruel joke and says the questionw as whether she'd cover his shift. He realises what he's done and apologises to Caroline by kissing her and telling her they'll be going on a nice weekend trip. Later on there is a scene where there is a toy train going to Caroline and it says "meet me at the train station at 6 and wear your best clothes"

Joanna and Statham think they have commited the perfect murder as Joanna's dwarf cousin ran up debts of �2million so the police think it's suicide, so Joanna and Statham run amock in the hospital until they meet the police in the main entrance and get scared and run off. They escape from the hospital via Boyce's help and Statham is wearing a nurse uniform and Joanna a surgeons outfit. Statham hijacks a camper van and drives off to which they realise that Martin is in the back and they go nuts and Joanna grabs the wheel and the van crashes through a fence and into a field where they lose control and are hanging off a cliff (notice anything similar to series 1?)

Caroline is waiting at the train station for Mac but he doesn't show up, instead a big cloud of steam blows and Guy walks through and after a long conversation Caroline agrees to the marriage question he asked her earlier and they kiss.

Back at the hospital, Mac is called into the "bosses" office to which he is described a scenario where someone has told a patient they are going to die. After a bit of debate the boss finally says it's sad to have to let that person go and then Mac twigs that it's him he's talking about. You see Mac drive down the road on his bike (with no helmet) and then computer graphics are used to fade him out completely.

The last scene is where Joanna, Martin and Dr Statham are hanging off the cliff in the camper van (just like the "cliffhanger" used to end series 1)

Contrary to what surreyman says Mac doesn't get told he has an incurable disease, instead he is told he is going to be fired for telling a patient they are going to die.

Actually ignore my post about Mac, I stand corrected. It does seem that he has a fatal disease and that's why he fades off at the end.

I only found this out by reading the board on imdb about Julian Rhind-Tutt (Mac)

Looks like some loose ends. Are they doing a 3rd series? I think they should call it a day. I don't think this last series has been anywhere near as good as the 1st one (apologies if this thread has been discussed before).

Well I think there will be a series 3 in production.

Someone has suggested that this could all be a ploy and this series wasn't real but instead a series that Mac has made up in his head whilst he's still in a coma as there is too much similarities to series 1.

I've looked on IMDB and everyone bar Mac and Harriett are free from filming anything.

Now here's the ultimate question... What exactly is Mac's first name ?
