Does anyone else remember a cartoon from the seventies that was on either before or after 'Crystal Tips and Alistair' on ITV. It was about a little black bird who walked around with a cracked egg shell on his head, saying ' It's an injustice, it is' in a Mexican accent. Or is this a total figment of my imagination - no one else seems to remember it. Help please!!!

I can absolutely confirm that it is not a figment of your imagination. However I can add very little to your description, because it includes everything I can remember about it as well!
What if you two are twins that were separated at birth and it is a figment of both your imaginations?

Good point RCP. My parents have always changed the subject when I ask them about my birth. Maybe that's the reason why.
its still on in austria..but i can't stay up so late..
Yes, it's real enough. Haven't seen the cartoon myself, but the Super Furry Animals wrote a song about it. The lyrics are here: http://www.angelfire.com/rock/sfalyrics/calimero.h

We regularly watched Calimero back in thye seventies.I think it was italian made and he really used to say:-it is injustice.... .I still remember a sequence when Calimero's uncle asked him to bring one used match stick and Calimero took one from a life sized ship built entirely from used match sticks and the ship shattered into a pile of matches.Calimero's uncle was crying: -years of painstaking job, oh god!Nice to remember after all these years.Unfortunatelly I dont remember any other sequences and the cartoon was suddenly axed out of the Yugoslav TV.I heared rumours that the cartoon had been making children angry becouse of all that injustice Calimero suffered and used to hit children's feelings hard.Could this be true?
