Question Author

button moon class or what

Excuse me for being old. We had (M) Picture Book, (T) Andy Pandy, (W) Flower pot men, (Th) rag, tag and bobtail, and (F) The woodentops. I know this does not answer rhe question, but we had our mum watching telly with us even if it was in black and white.

Does plogalog come from flowerpot men?

Slobalog little weed

They were more innocent and meaninful I think in our day (and when my kids were younger). I personally remember watching watch with mother: magic roundabout, bill and ben, andy pandy, hectors house, playschool etc. With my kids I watched playbus, button moon, winnie the pooh, bill and ben remake, andy pandy remake etc. Much nicer than what they have now! Balamory is scary, I have watched it with my young nephew! Those people need locking up! :)

Oh Holidaylover, you must be the same sort of age as me! Woodentops was my favourite, Spotty-the spottiest dog in all the world!

Plogalog, I watch Balamory etc. with my grandson, they're all quite good but not Big Cook, Little Cook that is very strange! We like the Fimbles best.

The Flowerpot Men,The Woodentops,Andy Pandy,The Flowerpot Men,Camberwick Green,Trumpton,Chigley.......................they were the best.

Count Duckula. Still have the t-shirt (although it's on a teddy bear now!)
If you want a great trip down memory lane try this website: www.thechestnut.com You can listen to theme tunes, see the characters, storyline etc - it's fab!! My favourites are Pipkins and Jamie & the Magic Torch. There are SOME good programmes on now but I don't think they'll hold their appeal in years to come like the classics from the 70's.
Does anyone else remember Twizzle? He was a boy who could sort of twist his arms like a corkscrew to reach things. I only ask because the other day someone asked me to reach something for them and i said "who do think I am, Twizzle?" and I got some very odd looks!
How did I manage to miss Mr Benn off my list?!
What about Bod - which Milkshake are the frogs gonna have today?
