ha ha it's funny how these people become famous. Personally i hate Graham Norton though he is also very popular at the mo. (no i am definitely not homophobic - i just think he is god awful). People's moods change over time - remember how Chris Evans used to be a breath of fresh air in the presenter/humour departments doing the "don't forget your toothbrush" - now people would like to take a gun and put him out of his misery
Interestingly, Darth's answers refer to two personalities, the first of whom is still hugely popular, and other who was so popular, and so astute, that he's far too rich to care if he's popular or not! As for PK, I entirely share your confusion - he is not, and apparently never will be, at all amusing, in spite of the BBC's insistance on forcing him on the viewing public. I hope and pray that his contract (hopefully short!) will not be renewed.
I like Patrick Kielty; top man. But I also like Mark Lamarr and Sean hughes and Phil Jupitus, Paul Whitehouse, I think Jo Brand is goddawful and Connolly's had his day. Guess it's a personal taste, comedy.
