cartoon name???

i remember watching this cartoon in the 90's but cant remember the name of it. the characters were like lions but in human bodys. (walked, dressed and talked like humans but had a cat face and skin). can remember sword type fights being involved in the cartoon. bit vague i know. can anyone help?!!!

Snarf, snarf!! Brilliant tele. My brother used to have a light up thuindercat sword that I hit him with daily.
