Cop chases suspect, cop gets shot but not killed. He's constantly laughing, acting wierd.

Doctors confused.

Portman (the neurosurgeon) goes to cop's appartment to try and see if the cop got an infection, finds the place a tip and the cop's growing cannabis in a shed next door.

Later Portman also starts to get the cop's symptoms (apart from the bullet of course!) and they are both put into quarantine. The cop dies.
