whatever happened to yootha joyce? I saw an episode of it on sky a few days ago. I'm sure someone told me she had died? was she an alcoholic or something?

Think she died in 1980 but don't remember what from. The alcoholic bit sounds familiar

grew up believing she had an alcohol problem and died of cirrhosis of the liver - I know she did have cirrhosis but it could have ended up as hepatitis as it is connected to liver. My friend was a nurse in Nigeria and came back with Malaria and Hepatitis, and it took 5-10 years for her to recover and even now she has to watch her dairy input as it affects her liver
