I'm sure if you contact the Blue Peter production office, care of BBC Television Centre, they will inform you when the next auditions take place.
In the past, some presenters have been offered the job after having appeared on the programme itself. Simon Groom and Michael Sundin were both remembered by Biddy Baxter and offered a presenting job on the show when a position became available.
The standard audition involves having a go at three typical items - interviewing someone while jumping up and down on a trampoline, making a recipe, and er something else. When Michael Sundin did his audition, they didn't realise that he was already a European trampolining champion (!) so he was able to do the interview expertly without losing breath.
