Ruby overheard him talking with the Moons about the murder of Dennis Rickman, and realised that he was responsible. She found the mobile phone on which Danny Moon had filmed Dennis being stabbed. She told him to give himself up and admit everything to the police. She said that she could cope with having a father who was in prison for murder, but not with one who was on the run. She was later shocked when she realised he had admitted to a whole string of murders over many years, not just the one.
