Having black families where parents and children are patently of different ethnic origin is just careless casting.
EE has a raft of long-term characters who have virtually no redeeming social qualities what so ever.

Got to be Corrie. Haven't watched Enders for over 6 weeks now and can't say I've missed it at all, whereas I get withdrawal symptoms if i don't get my usual dose of t'street.
I think the consistency of the acting and the writing and superb and although it may go off the boil occassionally because of a lack of big dramatic storylines, it's still enjoyable and believeable to watch.
Ials feel it's more realistic as characters in corrie actually watch TV now and again, and make reference to pop culture (Sally doing Vicky Pollard impressions, Sean coming out to his dad by talking about Dafydd in Little Britain).
I think it balances pathos and comedy brillianty. Eastenders is just all misery and woe and doom and gloom and characters you just want to slap. You take Corrie's characters to your heart.
And before you ask, no i don't work for Corrie.
But given half the chance.......

My favourite has always been Eastenders. I watched it from episode one and feel very loyal to it, even though im not into as much as i was. The characters just aren't like they were in the "good old days" It was tough going for a year or so a while back but as soon as Grant stepped back in to the square and muttered those immortal words "ello Mum" i knew it had been worth the wait. Don't get me wrong, i do love Corrie too!
Corrie. It is funny has brilliant actors/actresses and the writing is very good compared to Eastenders!
I watch Eastenders but feel that it is a bit poor in its representation of the East End area of London. For a start most people in the East End have their own washing machines, many people dont even know their neighbours etc Ive been to a few squares in London and none of them are like Albert Square.

Definately corrie, stopped watching EE when they changed the characters personalities. Minty the slum landlord is now a likeable chap, the M bros are now wuss's. And the scriptwriters keep forgetting facts, like the time The eldest beale boy was told that Ian wasn't his dad, they made a big thing of it but he knew that already according to earlier episodes. Also was Bill Murray's character supposed to have been a beau of Pat's at one time? Wouldn't that have made him about 10 at the time?? Sorry if I have the names wrong but I gave up on EE a couple of years ago and only catch the end if I'm watching the next program.
