hi,when i was a wee boy there was a programme on the tv,in the 80`s,it was spread over a few parts, all i remember was there was a bad cop in it who got killed and buried along with his motorcycle,it was spread over a few generations in the programme,it would like jump 20 years at a time,i can remember the handlebar of the cops bike sticking out the ground years later, you would see it when someone was born and it would jump thru the years till they were older then older again and a new generation would start,i know its not much to go on but was excellant, the biggest clue is the bad cop being killed and his handlebar sticking out,ive been trying to find out for ages what it was,i wont rest till i find out.

I think I remember this. The guy was buried upright sitting on his bike, and at some point he rode out of the ground? Hells Angel type?

I thought it was a film, though?

no that doesnt ring any bells,it was definetaly a 4 or 5 part programme not a film, and i dont remember the riding out the ground bit,i think there was a massive fire in it too,and for some reason the body and bike was found when years later the ground was being dug up.
Def rings a bell, but cant place it!
All I know is this - a 1972 movie called Psychomania.

def an 80`s programme, about 84 or 85.the actual thing itself was at the start set in the early 1930`s or something then as the parts went on it got more set to modern day
I think its Chiefs. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084997/

The guy who eventually solves the case either spots or trips over the rusty handlebar thats sticking out of the ground from when the bad cop was killed and the bike was buried years before thus exposing the serial killer??
Remember it being very good, want to bloody see it now!!
