Most of these channels have been investigated, but if they can prove their version of how they get to the answer and let you know all the costs of calling etc, nothing can be done.
On one hand: Anyone who doesn't see these things as a scam deserves to be ripped off.
But on the other: The government, with their relaxation of the gambling laws, seems determined to find more ways for their rich friends to fleece the poor and desperate so I doubt that anything will be done about thses charlatans.
I was rather excited when I discovered this channel, however when I keep tuning every day, on and off and no one ever seems to get the answer for weeks. So now I just watch it for amusement on people phoning wasting their money what I realised is a totally con!
how many of those answers are genuine callers? You get charged whether you get on or not. If I was running one, I'd have the production crew on each time with stupid answere and keep the public off the air to ensure no winners.
Shhhhh. I used to work for a phone company running numbers for these people. All callers are genuine, but your chances of getting on are slim. I remember we had 200,000 calls one night, many of them repeat callers at 1 a pop. Morons.
