It said she hasn't got a proper "Doctors" as we understand the word - qualification. It was apparently obtained on the internet !! It basically said -She's rude and unqualified for the job she does. She got that position through the back door. "Apparently " I don't like her anyway as you might guess - I think she'd be a great Harry Potter Witch type Character !!
I used to work with Gillian Mckeith and spent much time with her.
The doctorate was conducted by correspondence, as far as I know.
So, in a sense she did not receive the more traditional doctorate.
She does definately know her stuff and has helped many people though.
She is definately a blagger though. Unfortuntely her TV career is over. I can't give any more details on that.
I loath that woman with a passion. She calls herself doctor and gives the impression she is medically qualifed to give advice about health.
I KNOW not all doctors are medical - but if a doctor is giving me medical advice I do not expect that person to be a doctor of theology or whatever.
There are some excellent articles on the web about this very dangerous woman:

A few months ago there was a tv programme about her 'doctorate'. A hugely obese darts player applied to the same American institute to 'study' the same course - and was not only accepted but assured he was ideal for the course. The course would have cost a fair bit of money.
But at the end he would have been as 'qualified' as McKeith.
Particularly objectionable is her love of colonic irrigation. This is an unnecessary and sometimes dangerous treatment - it removes good bacteria which is essential for the health of our bowels.
In 50 years time people will be amazed that people volunteered for it.

Yes we should eat as healthily as we can but those stupid programmes she does are, it must be remembered, just that - TV programmes. As is the case with any show in which the clever TV people instruct us clueless morons how to eat/date/dress/raise kids/buy houses/decorate houses/sell houses etc etc, the main aim is to parade for entertainment's sake some gormless prole who's happy to sacrifice their dignity in order to be on telly. Anyone who thinks the aim of her shows is to impart reasonable and considered health advice is fooling themselves.
In a way I think it's quite amusing that people are getting worked up about whether she's a "real doctor". We sit there and listen to loads of crap spouted by supposed experts every day, and no-one seems to mind. Why aren't we questioning every single person on every single TV show who imparts their "wisdom" about how we should live our lives? It's only because she has a title that we're contesting it - if she hadn't ever called herself "Dr" my guess is that we wouldn't be having this discussion.
Even when people ARE actual doctors it doesn't mean they're worth listening to. As demonstrated by anything featuring Raj Persaud.

Slightly off topic but did anyone see the Dead Ringers send up of her the other week.
Some guy on death row asks for Burger and chips for his last meal.......(Scots accent) "now what do you think you're doing putting all that junk into your body....." , "well I'm being executed in the morning", "That's no way to live a healthy life....." - Hilarious!
