At the end her Dad from the parallel universe took her and her mum back there at the last minute in order to save them being killed with everyone else in the dalek/cybermen wars and all that vacuum stuff.

Then the breach was closed and left her and the doctor in two seperate, but parallel universes. In this universe, if you listened to their convo at the end, she's officially missing presumed dead, but of course she's alive in the other one.
She died in her world although she now exists in a parallel one but i wish she had just died

Well then Dotty, why did you open the topic? ;-)

Suzy, I watched Dr Who Confidential afterwards, and they were talking to the producer bloke. Apparently old Dr Who groupies are never killed off. It's just something they never do.
yeah, what about Adric then.....?
Where did dotty's post go?
Simply because in her original universe (IE ours) she is officialy recorded as being killed in the cyberman/dalek invasion.
The "producer bloke" (aka Russell T Davies) didn't say they never kill companions off, he said "it was never an option to kill Rose, that's not what Dr Who's about, it has to be optimistic." He didn't mean to imply companions have never been killed off, indeed as Postdog rightly said the annoying Adric was thankfully blown up during Peter Davison's time as the Doctor. Also there was someone called Katarina who got killed during the William Hartnell years.
And Sara Kingdom died in the same story as Katarina, both had travelled in the TARDIS.
Thanks Backdrifter, I knew it was something like that. I was trying to be economical with words.
No problem. I always enjoy that Confidential programme, sometimes those 'making of' shows can be very self-regarding but it's hard to resist the genuine enthusiasm and affection Davies and his team seem to have for Dr Who.
