Eggheads new series

There was a question on Tuesdays edition concerning John Peel but it talked about him in the present tense and as we all know he sadly died a couple of years back.

When are these episodes recorded ? Surely they cant be that old and it does seem an obvious mistake?

I spotted that too - was all very odd. Is that series a repeat?

I also spotted that. i have a feeling this is a repeat of the very first series because Dermot said to Judith about having all 15 correct answers in Millionaire and then 2 correct ones on Eggheads, then she got 1 wrong and he said "that's the first incorrect answer you have given in a quiz lately" as if she had only just done Millionaire, also she has that birthmark on her lip which she has not got in the later shows.

The Eggheads currently being shown on BBC 2 are repeats of the First Series. If they are going to show repeats of quizzes, then why not episodes of Top of the Form or the original Mastermind finals for instance, especially the ones where Chris Hughes and Kevin Ashman won?

good point osprey. probably won't show these earlier shows because chris hughes and kevin ashman aren't smug b**tards and therefore don't make "good television".

yeh youre right ! my tv listings mag didnt say repeat for mon or tue but only for wed onwards.

and there was me thinking that cj had gone all rugged !

i also noticed the keppel thing with the 1st question on tv wrong remark which now makes sense of course !

that also explains why there was only �3000 up for grabs yesterday as i was sure they ended the last series unbeaten

Good evening all. I think this is possibly the first time I have visited this topic, so hello !
Definately repeats because I recognised the 'Tinks' earlier in the week.
The last new ones I remember was earlier in the summer and I'm sure the money got up to about �27,000. Is this how the series ended?
Am I the only one that cannot even bear to watch Dermot in anything else now. I find him so irritating !!!!!!! I've even taken to shouting at him to get on with it ! xx
