The crew filmed us in the UInion ballroom looking dreadfully hip and trendy frugging away to the Stones' Brown Sugar, except when the film was broadcast, the re-dubbed some northern soul onto our segment, so we looked like shop dummies with St. Vitus Dance - and not at all achingly cool.
Lessons in humility all round I think!

Been on a few quizzes. Bobs Full House (with Bob Monkhouse; nice bloke), Telly Addicts (got to semi final and knocked out by the ladies who won), 15 to 1 (nuff said!!), Crystal Maze (what a great 2 days, Richard O'Brien was brill), Test the Nation: The Great British Quiz (I was the trucker who was the studio winner, 63 out if 70).
A few times.
On the Big Breakfast talking about animation ( around 1992 ).
On Collectors' Lot with my Womble collection.
In a Dalek for "Future Generations" ( a BBC promo that featured a boy walking through lots of classsic BBC children's programmes ).
And in a Sontaran ( Dr Who monster ) costume on Children In Need ( Dead Ringers do Doctor Who on The Weakest Link ).
And as an extra in a Channel 4 drama, the name of which was changed when it was transmitted, so I don't know what it was called.

When i went to New york they were shooting a mary kate and ashley film (the twins) and we were being held up in traffic (yellow taxi :P) and all we could see was just huge amounts of tv crews and the taxi driver hinted that our taxi could have been in it but i will have to ask my daughter to see what it was called.lol
I was on Watchdog when my spare wheel got stolen from under my car.
And a chicken I used to look after at a zoo was on Big Breakfast proving that chickens can fly. It got eaten by a fox not long after that, but it was very frustrating at work, when you had all these wonderful animals, and kids only wanted to see the flipping chicken!!!
