nothing really its just to show he has been 'upgraded' because of the nanites.

Like Mattk says it shows he has been upgraded . He is different to he was before. Before he had his accident he would have been Jake 1.0 .Once the Nanites entered him and enhanced his capabilities he became a new version of Jake. Like mark 2 .Hence Jake 2.0. I Hope this explains things a bit .:-D
